          "text": "RE:  question about third book in the \"Torturer\" series\n\nGene Wolfe's BOOK OF THE NEW SUN is a tetralogy, not a trilogy.  The\nfour books are:\n\n\tThe Shadow of the Torturer\n\tThe Claw of the Conciliator\n\tThe Sword of the Lictor\n\tThe Citadel of the Autarch\n\nTHE SWORD OF THE LICTOR is currently available in hard cover only.\nThe first two books are available both in hard cover and in paperback.\nBook four is supposed to be out in January.\n\nI won't risk a spoiler by discussing plot details of tSotL.  Suffice\nit to say that the literary quality is up to the high standards set by\nthe first two volumes, and there are plenty of loose ends to be tied\nup in book four.\n\n--PSW\n\n[THE SWORD OF THE LICTOR is available in a Timescape paperback. THE\n CITADEL OF THE AUTARCH is only in hardback at the moment, with a\n paperback to come in early 1983. --Stuart]"
