"text": "Sev's acceptance into the Stone Town has quite a few ramifications that are\nimportant later in the book-- strengthening the Conciliator myth, which\nallows Sev in Typhon's time to be very successful which spurs on Sev in his\nadventure before his judgement (and provides for the successful passage\nthrough Typhon's town--Os, right?). Also, the events in the Stone Town\nwhen Sev meets with his duplicate there might have lead to a different\noutcome if those events hadn't taken place (what -were- the witches looking\nfor, anyway?)\n\nAdmittedly, Wolfe tends to dance around causality when talking about Sev's\ntime-travels and also those of the Hieros, but...\n\nSo, maybe Tzadkiel, having known about these various causations, realized\nthat there was a hole in the chains that required Sev to be Apu Punchau,\nand that to do this he needed the miracle, and had no access to the White\nFountain's power.\n\n\n------------------------------------------------------------------\nJon Camfield \"GriffJon\" \t|Webmaster, Plan II Honors Program:\nGriffJon at mail.utexas.edu \t| www.dla.utexas.edu/~plan2\nHomepage, Gallery, Resume:\t|Channel Manager, Undernet #Poetry\n ccwf.cc.utexas.edu/~griffjon \t| www.tripod.com/~ircpoetry\n------------------------------------------------------------------\n\"The most incomprehensible fact about nature is that it is comprehensible\"\n-- Albert Einstein"
