          "text": "Well, okay--another way to do it would be to develop a \"Reader\nScale.\"  Carrying on from vizcacha's vector, re commentators on PEACE\ntending to become mantic or borskian, grafted onto an easy five stage\nscale.  From super-cautious to wildly speculative:\n\n1--manlove? (So cautious that one denies Dorcas as resurrected and/or\ngrandmother)\n\n2--gordon?\n\n3--vizcacha, the paragon of balance (alas, too often left\nunexpressed; i.e., a silent majority of unexamined assumptions)?\n\n4--mantic (hi there <wave>)\n\n5--borski\n\nBut where to put John Clute?  Is =he= the balance?  Or is Joan Gordon\nthe balance?  Gordon is certainly more conservative in her reading\nthan Clute is--no Autarch Catherine for her!  (Then again, Gordon\ndoesn't reveal [to the best of my limited knowledge] that Number\nFive's name is \"Gene Wolfe,\" a juicy tip we owe to Clute.)\n\nAnd what about Peter Wright?\n\n=mantis="
