There is a good essay on this\nand a couple of other Wolfe stories in \"New York Review of Science Fiction\nNo. 95\" (alga ought to have a contributor's copy of this issue).\nLocey incorporates and responds to the Gordon interpretation: for one\nthing, she claims that the sixth day is Good Friday rather than\nEaster; and that by counting back from here we see Nadan arriving in\nthe foreign city on Palm Sunday; that there is no \"missing day\"; etc.\n\nThere's also a lot of info on the real theatrical plays involved; and\nhow the real plays differ from those presented in the story.
