          "text": "Oooo!  A tricky question.  How much do details from the Long Sun \"count\"\nin interpreting the New Sun books?  Somehow I feel that's cheating.\n\nOn the other hand, I don't feel that way at all about the Short Sun & Long\nSun books, I guess because it feels like it's going to really be all one\nstory.\n\nAs for rumors that Severian may be involved somehow in the Short Sun\nbooks, I am prejudiced against the idea.  The Typhon bit works because\nit's such a minor connection.   But the feel of these two series is so\ndifferent, I have trouble imagining them being brought together without\none seeming out of place.  (I haven't read _Blue_ yet, so I can't say\nanything about the 'feel' of that book.)\n\n-Rostrum"
