Dream's work\nschedule one week had the days as Moonday, Truesday,\nWodensday, Thirstday, Fire'sday, Satyrday, and\nSon'sday.  No Grunday, though, and if there were any\nother such examples in the series, no bells are\nringing for me.  I don't suppose it's a reference to\nSolomon Grundy, who died on Sunday, eh?  Oh well.  \n\nAs to Parkroads, I really don't think Wolfe was doing\nhis Catholic boogie here.  I believe he way\nillustrating the perhaps universal human urge to place\nthe location of paradise and meaning \"anywhere but\nhere,\" whether East(Land of the Sunrise), West(Tir Na\nN'og), South(Mittelgard), North(Hyperborea), Heaven\nand Hell, or center (Mt Kaf).  Wolfe demonstrates the\nmythologization of locations in time as well, both\nwithin the film (the Golden Mountain Land of the\nfamily's past)and in the review (in the possible real,\nuh, reel of the future, all will be revealed), sending\nthe reader to find meaning outside of the text.  No\ninvestment here either-it was neat to try to think of\nthis story from an angle other than Borges.  Phooey, I\nget the feeling I'm missing the point, but as a Wolfe\nfan, I'm used to the sensation, and even enjoy it.\n\nPS A half-bare Bear, in spectacles yet!, delivering a\nlecture...really?  Wow.  Really?    "
