"text": "Regarding the future of these lists -- as a recent \nreturnee after 2+ years, I don't know that I have\na right to an opinion, but if I do, I vote for a\nunified list. (\"Ushas\" is a good name, but why not\nsimply \"Wolfe\" or \"Lupine\"?)\n\nFurther, I agree: Text ads are bearable annoyances.\nGraphical ads would bring the list somewhere near \nthe point of inutility for those who access email\nvia a dialup connection.\n\n***\n\nWeird _Terminus Est_ reference?\n\nAre there any old-timey rock'n'roll scholars on this\nlist? And, contrariwise, does anyone know anything\nabout Wolfe's tastes (if any) in popular music?\n\nI have this memory from my high school days (about\na quarter-century ago), hearing that Jimi Hendrix\nhad had the neck of a guitar drilled out and filled\npartially with mercury -- to give it a kewl vibrato\nwhen he shook it, as I recall. \n\n1. Anyone able to confirm it? \n2. Anyone got a clue as to whether GW is a Hendrix fan?\n\n-- Blattid"
