In the very last Dying Earth story, \"Morreion\"\nin RHIALTO THE MARVELLOUS, Rhialto and his fellow\nmagicians are conveyed across the galaxies by a\nso-called Peregrine Palace, owned by Vermoulian the\nDream Walker. This is a kind of science fictional\nsortie into Fantasy, as is the city of Ampridatvir in\n\"Ulan Dhor\" (Chapter 5 of THE DYING EARTH), so an SF\ncover for TALES OF THE DYING EARTH is not altogether\nirrational.\n\n--Nick Gevers."
