          "text": "I asked Pete Crowther if he could provide some\ninformation on Wolfe's recent story \"The Walking\nSticks\", to be found in the (rather expensive)\nanthology TAPS AND SIGHS. His response:\n\n\"I don't know that there's much info I can provide\nabout 'The Walking Sticks' save that it's around 6,000\nwords (as I recall) and is a somewhat dark\nfirst-person murder mystery with undertones of Poe and\nBloch, with maybe an undertone or two reminiscent of\nKing's short work. I hope that sounds sufficiently\nintriguing to persuade people to rush out and buy the\nbook.\"\n\nAnyone tempted?\n\n--Nick Gevers."
