Steven Silver, writing in rec.arts.sf.fandom, reports that SFWA has announced that RA Lafferty has died.
Lafferty was a master of the SF short story and won the Hugo for Short Story in 1973 for "Eurema's Dam". His stories have tended to be overlooked in recent years; a great shame. If you haven't read any Lafferty, I recommend you try some.
