          "text": "My understanding is that Bryan Cholfin =bought= the remaining copies of\nEF&F as pre-requisite to publishing the \"everyman\" edition.  (Yeah, I know,\nI know: \"Think of it as an =investment=.\")\n\nThat was in, what, 1992?\n\nIt seems impossible these days to do any small press Wolfe book.  The\nbarriers are real, and quite solid.  I have tried, Nick Gevers has tried,\nthere must be others reading this who have tried.  Such things have been\ndone in the past by Ziesing,  Nesfa, and United Mythologies, but they\naren't doing them now.  Then again, new small press folk are\nself-generating all the time, so it could happen.  As much as I wish it\nwould, I really, really doubt it."

The same seems to be the case with _Bib-\nliomen_, too.  (The least expensive versions, as far as I\ncan tell, are the studio samples from Cheap Street--both\ntitles are $85 a copy in that state.)"

          "text": "At one point there were four or five small presses publishing Lafferty's\nas-yet-unpublished works.  Then, at about the same time (early 90s, I think)\nthey all stopped.  There are still quite a few unpublished novels; hopefully\nthey'll see the light of day eventually.\n\n--Adam"
