          "text": "I've now read Gene's latest book, co-authored with\nNeil Gaiman: A WALKING TOUR OF THE SHAMBLES. It's an\nillustrated chapbook, published soon by the small\npress American Fantasy. It's best compared with\nBIBLIOMEN: light, joky, a great writer on holiday,\nreally. The book describes, in quasi-tourist-guide\nfashion, an apocryphal district of Chicago filled with\nsinister attractions: haunted houses, a lake hosting\nCaptain Hook's crocodile, a museum of living clocks,\netc. There are even some gross recipes from a ghoulish\nrestaurant. Under \"Other Books by Gene Wolfe\" at the\nfront, there is mention of such gems as HANDSAW:\nESCAPE FROM WOODEN CAGES. Highly enjoyable tour, or at\nleast I thought so.\n\n--Nick Gevers."
