          "text": "   Lord ESN here... first e-mail to urthnet since\nswitching accounts... so i thought a heads-up was in\norder. but anyways...\n\n   Why was pandora under-appreciated? (sincere\nquestion, not rhetorical)\n\n   I didn't like it, but I don't know why. I think it\nwas because I was familiar with nearly all of Wolfe's\nvastly published works, and it was a LARGE divergence\nfrom said other works.\n\n   But why didn't I like it?\n\n   I've never noticed a personal aversion to literary\ndiversity before in my life, and I quite enjoyed many\nwell writen mystery novels, so what made Pandora's Box\ndarn near unenjoyable to read?\n\n   My only hypothesis is that the style of writing did\nnot match the plot or other Wolfe. Was this\nintentional, serving as a method to further define\nHolly Hollander as an amateur writer? I don't know.\n\n   Does anyone else have a distinct recolection of\nwhat turned them off when reading Pandora? (assumming\nthat it did)\n\n   One more question: How could a bad (my opinion)\nWolfe novel stimulate my curiosity as much as it has,\nPossibly as much as deep story elements of\nwell-written Wolfe novels?\n\n«Lord ESN»"
