It simply\nfits, specific story or no. Your analysis of Wolfe’s\nshifting shadows of significance is elegantly\nformulated. That example of the end of LONG SUN is a\ngood one—when I wrote my “Five Steps Towards Briah”\narticle back in ’98, the flight from false world to\npleroma seemed very clear, but the bases shifted for\nSHORT SUN—somewhat, not invalidating but rather\nrecontextualising what had gone before.\n\n2) Colons: I’m an inveterate user of colons and\nsemicolons; I like long, rhetorically balanced\nsentences.
