There's a similar emphasis on questions of memory, identity, and perception, innovative and deceptive narrative structures, and the use of genre tropes to startlingly unusual ends. Priest's new novel, THE SEPARATION (published in the UK by Scribner), will, I think, appeal to Wolfe's readership--an alternate history of World War Two effectively through the prism of the Uncertainty Principle. --Nick Gevers. ---
