He talks about\nit in Castle of the Otter.\n\nRe: the whole Narrator-as-Dog thing\nThis is an interesting explanation, and I certainly don't have a\nbetter one, but it doesn't feel quite right. I was under the \nimpression that the narrator -is- human, precisely because\nall the other un-humans think he isn't. Also, the robot in\nthe city recognises him as human (as far as I can recall),\nand it presumably dates back to the time of human\npopulation.\n\nAs for the beings on the Sleigh having wings... an allegory\nwith angels\\heaven is certainly intended, but plenty of\nwinged beings in Wolfe's stories turn out to be human,\nsuch as the Long Sun fliers and the Autarch's flying\nfemale corps.\n\nI'm going to have to re-read Tracking Song too, I \ncan see..."
