          "text": "Greetings:\n\nIn re-reading the tetralogy after (mumble mumble)\nyears, I was struck by something I did not notice when\nI first read them: The parallels with \"The Dying\nEarth\" by Jack Vance and the \"Viriconium\" tales fo M.\nJohn Harrison.\n\nEven odder, given that all three were published by\nPocket in the Timescape line around the same time.
