          "text": "Aquaster, actually.  Jung apparently noodled with the Paracelsan idea  \nof the aquaster.\n\nThe PDF abstract of Jung's collected works found at the link below  \nhas this:\n\nThe Iliaster and the Aquaster are compared, and the latter is  \ndescribed as a spiritual principle\nwhose characteristics correspond to the alchemical concept of the  \nwater in prima materia.\nChrist is said to have taken his body from the celestial Aquaster;  \nMary, from the iliastric\nAquaster. The Aquaster is interpreted as a psychic principle, closely  \nrelated to the modern\nconcept of the unconscious. In Paracelsus' writings, it was  \npersonified as the homunculus. Both\nIliaster and Aquaster were believed to extend upwards and downwards,  \nassuming a spiritual\nform as well as a quasi material one; in this respect they are seen  \nto resemble the alchemical\nprima materia.\n\nAnd this:\n\nThe alchemical concept Ares is discussed and compared to the  \nParacelsan Aquaster. In the\nalchemic view, Ares is presented as the determiner of individual form  \nand species, hence, an\nintuitive concept for a preconscious, creative and formative  \nprinciple to individual creatures.\nParacelsus endowed Ares with a watery character, bringing it into  \nrelationship to the body.
