Yes, the Jungle Hut scene surely \ntook place a few decades in our past. Borsky contends that Isangoma\nis really Father Inire and I tend to agree. Not such a stretch to think\nFather Inire could fit in as a witch doctor in early 20th centuray Africa.\nAnd he is the source of much of the Earth material and legend which can\nbe found on Urth.\n\nRegarding debate over whether the events on Urth represent events in\nour Earth's future or a previous universal iteration I'll offer some Gene\nWolfe quotes from the James Jordan interview, for those interested in \nthe author's intention: \n(http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze2tmhh/wolfejbj.html#urth2)"
