          "text": "I have no idea what the 15 years refers to, but I don't see any evidence\nit's the Running Blood incident.  If anything, Mr. D's remarks immediately\nfollowing the 15 year quote strike me as evidence against it.  If he had\njust been describing how the French slaughtered the Annese, it seems\nunlikely that he would continue: \"'Well, those Frenchmen used to have all\nkinds of stories about them...What kinds of stories?  Oh, just nonsense.\nThey're an ignorant people, the French are.'\" (If he intended that\nthese \"stories\" were the motivation for the massacre, surely he would have\nspoken of them before speaking of the massacre.)\n\n--Adam"
