Don't forget the Bath-sheba angle!  Hellen is she, and that makes Daw
into David.

More direct "Star Trek" references: "The Adopted Father" (1980) has
one right at the end.

(Hey, most of the Wolfe starship stories are variations on "the
Flying Dutchman," ain't they?  "Silhouette," "The Other Dead Man,"
"All the Hues of Hell" [was it James Jordon who said this one is a
sequel to "Silhouette"? On target.] . . . well, "Cherry Jubilee"
isn't.  Nevermind!)
