          "text": "prion,\n\nBeuzec is teasingly mentioned in \"the Lexicographer's Introduction\"\n(of \"Lexicon Urthus: Additions, Errata, &cetera\") but doesn't have\nan entry in the text (\"Additions and Errata\") that follows.  Winnoc\nhas no mention at all.\n\nRe: Beuzec as the slug.  An interesting notion which goes toward\nexplaning how Hethor might transport it around without teleporting\nall the time.\n\nHethor has many aspects about him, including for example, aspects of\n\"grayness\" and \"being a hairless rat.\"  The grayness translates into\nhis great antiquity; the ratliness shows his creepiness, the\nrevulsion he creates in Severian.\n\nBut when Beuzec disappears into a hole in the wall (like a rat hole),\nand Severian supposes that he has escaped into the second house, we\nhave rats again--since the white wolves lurk within the walls like\nrats writ large.\n\n=mantis="
