Otherwise, I\ncan't think of one reason why Silk, after finally 'killing ' Horn's spirit\nonce and for all, would then as his first act call Seawrack (who had never\nmet him) and set off on a journey with her.  And if you assume that Horn\nhasn't been 'killed' or expunged from Silk in some major way, it makes the\nbig surprise at the end of the story somewhat lame, i.e. 'Horn was a bit\nmore in control but now Silk is', which I'm pretty sure isn't the case.\n\nFinally someone (sorry can't remember who) was asking about the connection\nbetween Cilinia and Urth-Scylla.  I'm sure somewhere in RTTW this is\nexplained in terms of Clinia making a pact wth Urth-Scylla before being\nscanned for the Whorl.  Presumably, she picked the name as a kind of homage\nto or sign of allegiance to the origional Scylla.\n\nAnd yes, why did the farmer get so stroppy with Horn/Silk after giving him\nthe seeds?\n\nIan\n\n\n*This is WHORL, for discussion of Gene Wolfe's Book of the Long Sun."
