I have been away for a few months and \nhave the huge tasks of wondering if anyone followed\nup to a conversation I was following with interest.\n\nTo refresh my memory - there was a general discussion\nabout why the styles might change in the last book,\nand how could it be that the children would all write\nin a similar style.\n\nI followed up and said something like, maybe\nthe book is 300 years later or something, and it has\nbeen mutated slowly over the years by editors and\ntranslators.\n\nSomeone else followed up and said, not likely, why\nare his parts different?\n\nThen I got busy.\n\nDid anyone else ever follow up to that?\n\nI was wondering - well, maybe they printed all those\nparts in red and wouldn't want to change them because\nthey granted him deific status?\n\nAlso, tho, I was thinking the fella had a point, so\nmaybe it isn't 300 years later but only a year or\nso and what we have here is an older sibling who\nedits the content of the other siblings works.\n\nSome of them seem codependent to me. What with their\nfather doing all these highly confusing morally\nambiguous things.
