          "text": "Some elucidation on the Trivigaunti language, courtesy of my cousin Bob,\nwho works for Aramco in Saudi Arabia:\n\n\"'ishsh\" (Get going?) -- not familiar. \"khush\" means \"go in,\" or\n\"enter\"; we use \"yalla\" for \"get going\"\n\n\"betifham 'arabi\" -- do you understand Arabic?\n\n\"karbaj\" -- kurbaj in classical Arabic means a whip.\n\n\"marhaba\" -- hello\n\n\"boraz\" -- \"biraz\" in classical can mean \"excrement\" or \"contest\" or\n\"duel\" (this strange juxtaposition because the root \"b-r-z\" has the\nbasic meaning of \"to come out\" or \"appear\" and thus takes on the meaning\nof \"stand out\", \"surpass\", or \"excel\". I don't know about \"boraz\".\n\nNames:\n\n\"Abanja\" -- dunno\n\"Hadale\" -- dunno\n\n\"Hossaan\" (cognate to Hussein?) -- can be; could also mean horse, if\nit's a velar \"s\".\n\n\"Lijam\" -- bridle or rein\n\"Matar\" -- rain\n\"Nizam\" -- system\n\n\"Rimah\" -- sometimes a woman's name; \"reem\" means gazelle; \"reemah\" may\nmean an individual female gazelle\n\n\"Saba\"  -- sabah (with heavy aitch) means morning; without aitch, could\nmean \"youth\" (abstract noun) or even \"east wind\"\n\n\"Sigada\" -- dunno\n\"Silah\" -- dunno\n\"Sirka\" -- dunno\n\"Siyuf\" -- swords\n\nHe adds, \"Many of the words I give dunnos for could be words I recognize\nif they are slightly changed.  It seems clear the author used Arabic,\nthough.\"\n\nA little more explanation of the preceding (from me).  There is no\n\"official\" way to transliterate Arabic into our alphabet.  This problem\nis complicated by the fact that Arabic has sounds that don't appear in\nEnglish (a whole repertoire of glottal stops and Ks and Q's).  Recall\nthe umpty-foo different ways of transliterating Moammar Qaddafi's name\nwhen he was in the news a lot.
