          "text": "Xury,\n\nIf I read you right, I think you're wrong...\n\nThink of the whorl as a soup can.  The \"east\" and \"west\" ends of the\nwhorl correspond to the top and bottom of the can.\n\nRun a drinking straw from the center of the top to the center of the\nbottom.  That's the long sun.\n\nMainframe is at the east end (the \"top\") {or is it the west end?}, near\nwhere the drinking straw originates. Recall that gravity at Mainframe is\nlow to non-existent, because what the Cargo experience as gravity is\nactually just \"centrifugal\" force.  It is possible that the east and\nwest ends are curved (each one half a tennis ball, for example).  If\nthey were perfectly sheer, there wouldn't be much need for the Mountains\nThat Look at Mountains.\n\nThe cities are sprinkled all over the inside curved surface of the can.\nThe ones opposite you at any point are your \"Skylands.\" The mountains\nthat protect mainframe are on the curved part at the east end.
