(I'm not\ncertain I completely buy into the physics here, but this is the\nexplanation given in the text).\n\n\nThe East pole, surrounding the Pylon that creates the Shade, in an area\nwhere there is little or no gravity (\"everybody flies there\").\n\n\n\"Spool-shaped\" (_Exodus_, p. 347).
