Re: your tech solution. Interesting point! It would seem to require
a group that is to biotech as the black mechanics are to robotics. The implanting of god prepared embryos (which is the genesis for Silk, Mucor, Tick?, and the Lynxes) must be simple compared to striping useable DNA from non-sex cells. Doctor Crane probably couldn't do it. The brain surgeon from Palustria probably couldn't do it.
