Gene Wolfe: Another New Sun question

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I don't think so. Remember that later on, Ava says "There was another
patient here like you, and they told me he came with you.", apparently
referring to having two minds in the same body. Also, Severian seems to be
basing his deduction on Miles' style of speech rather than physical
resemblance, and his remark about "I lost it somewhere along the way.
That's what the jaguar said, who had promised to guide the goat." makes it
clear he thought Jonas had taken over Miles' body. Finally, Miles'
description of his earliest memories fits the conditions of Jonas'
departure from the House Absolute.
