This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Hmmmm....

It occurs to me that The Long Sun is a cyberpunk novel told from the perspective of one totally uncomprehensive of the virtual world he lives in (imagine "The Matrix" where Neo only understands learns what the Matrix is 3/4ths of the way into the movie). Quetzal and Crane are his guides into that world. In the end, he dominates that world by becoming the ruling virtual personality in it, and discovers that he himself is a genetically improved clone.
