Severian's skin color

Dan'l Danehy-Oakes · 22 Jun 2005, 15:57 · from 2005-June.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I find this theory appealing, for very much the reason you show
-- Typhon is very concerned about "the face of command," which
is why he wants a full-head transplant rather than a brain transplant
-- but I'm not prepared to defend the theory, I can't say "this is how
I think it is." It's just an interesting possibility.

Which is how most interpretations of the solar books seem to me,
come to think of it.
