This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I'm not sure what the point of that last statement was, but that's not quite
what is said. I'm not going to quote it all; readers can read it for
themselves, pages 361-362. In short, Scylla is reported by Silkhorn to have
believed that "Pas would not have peopled Blue unless he had some way to go
there himself to rule them." Silkhorn thought she was wrong. Eventually,
Silkhorn says, "Pas has not yet come, perhaps. Or perhaps he has, and Oreb
simply failed to find the place that Pas found or created." And, later,
"Then I believe Pas knows that as the years pass we will come to realize how
much we need him, and bring him." [ . . .] "The same impulse [that sent Horn
to find Silk] will be applied to Pas in another generation, surely."
