This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

The Rajan seems quite comfortable that he knows more about this issue
than Scylla. He doesn't elaborate why, but there is something about
his assuredness makes me believe him. And certainly, at this juncture
he *does* contain a good deal of Pas within him. Anyway, Scylla
was wrong in this case that Pas would only permit the colonists to come
to Blue if He could rule them directly and the Rajan says he knew
in advance that it wasn't so. Maybe the Rajan was lying or bragging,
but I don't think so.
