This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Well, only children are another of Wolfe's themes that he's mentioned in 
essays - I can't refer to the originals, but they are quoted in Wright's 
book, "Attending Daedelus" - given that he was an only child.

If we're going to do a survey of this, though, I think we should focus 
mainly on the novels. I don't think anyone's mentioned the odd family 
situation of Art Ormsby yet.
