Re-reading, hoping for some discussion ;-)

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Hi all,

I was on the list some time ago, and now I'm re-reading BotNS,
hoping to get 'Solar Labyrinth' in the mail soon.

So, for all you long-time hard-core fans, it will be the same questions you've
heard before, but I'm hoping maybe someone with patience can help me sort this
stuff out.

First of all, after just reading a couple of today's posts about Severian's
lineage... is there any reason to believe Gene Wolfe had this stuff planned
out to provide all these details deliberately, and that he will take the final
explanation with him to his grave?
