Close Reading: Torturer Chapter I

Jon Capps · 04 Sep 2006, 17:58 · from 2006-September.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I'm currently focusing on getting through the Soldier books in prep for
Sidon (I'm nearing the end of Mist), but I'd be more than willing to
participate. Shadow and Claw is how I discovered Wolfe. I just
finished my third reading of New Sun this Spring, but I've never
actually sat down to critically study it.

Oh, and I'm new to the list, so hello everybody. I'd meant to register
about the time Wizard was published, and never got around to it until how ;)
