Tracking Song and vizcacha

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Roy, the easiest answer is that I had completely forgotten that I was 
the one who introduced that theory. I remember a couple of long threads 
on "Tracking Song" back in the dim and misty past, and it took me a 
while in the archives to find this one (vol. 6 of the Digest, for those 
who care).

When I reread my own archived messages, sometimes they are embarrassing, 
sometimes I'm impressed. This is one of the "impressed" ones, although I 
notice I discounted the relationship to CotW, which I think the recent 
discussion is more correct on. I was probably looking at straight plot 
correspondence, rather than thematic.
