"What I Know About Writing (in no particular order),"

Michael Straight · 22 Jun 2007, 04:40 · from 2007-June.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I know someone who would like to quote one Wolfe's suggestions (viz: "Almost
any interesting work or art comes close to saying the opposite of what it
really says.") in a scholarly context, so she's hoping to find a better
citation than an archive of a dead webpage.

Kinda funny that John found a link to an archive of a different, but also
dead, webpage. (Thanks John. At least Pinder spelled Wolfe's name right.)
