This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything
here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer
encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the
archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those
repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is
for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site,
so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

The Wolfe story, if memory serves, is "Magical Animals" and is about a young boy who may be Merlin and his relationship throughout time with Viviane. (The book has gone back to the library, so I can't look it up.) There are reviews in the March (Gevers) and May (Horton) issues of Locus, but only the former mentions the Wolfe story. (He liked it.) Don't know why the antho was retitled for sale in the UK -- one would think Pottermaniacs would be more inclined to pick up a volume labeled "Wizards" than "Dark Alchemy."
