OT: Lafferty recommendations

Craig Brewer · 23 Jul 2007, 14:00 · from 2007-July.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

It's a bit hard to find, but the collection _Lafferty
in Orbit_ (of his stories from Damon Knight's _Orbit_)
is quite a good source for small doses of very strong
Lafferty. There are some great little gems in there:
"The Skinny People of Leptophlebo Street," "One at a
Time," and "When All the Lands Pour Out Again," not to
mention about 15 others.

But since that's hard to find, I'd second those who
said _The Devil is Dead_.
