How list works and questions to mailers

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I'm a computer programmer from Santa Fe, New Mexico in my early 50's who 
just recently got back into Wolfe books after a gap of many years. When 
I was cleaning out my old books in preparation for a move, I found 
several books I had never read, including "Free Live Free" and "PEACE." 
After reading them I went looking for intelligent Wolfe discussion on 
the web; I found this list and the WolfeWiki.

I don't have a lot of time for reading these days; I have two-year-old 
twin sons. I'm making time for more Wolfe books, anyway. Right now I'm 
reading IODDAOSAOS and sometime soon I'll read "The Devil in a Forest."
