How list works and questions to mailers

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

It?s sad to think that someone could read P&P without finding it rewarding.

I?m (mainly) a lurker on the list of a few years? standing who lives in
Seattle, which I mention in case someone is cataloguing member locations.
I?m imagination- and language-driven in my reading, so I mostly read what?s
called literary fiction, but there?s a good bit of SF/fantasy that makes the
cut?Wolfe, obviously, especially BOTNS, Peace, Fifth Head and the Soldier
books, but also Jeff VanderMeer, Avram Davidson, China Mieville, M. John
Harrison, Kelly Link, John Crowley and the like.  I?ll be picking up Evil
Guest as soon as it comes out, but what I?m really looking forward to this
year is Roberto Bolano?s 2666, out in November.
