Other SF writers?

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Well as usual, YMMV.  I would reverse these recommendations -- if _CoC_ is 
less than satisfactory in terms of being a _setup_, _The Sparrow_ made me 
grit my teeth for the same reason doubled (there is a r.a.sf thread on it 
just at the moment, where it certainly evokes some venomous responses). 
And _CoC_ allows Blish to show off another of his interests (Finnegan's 
Wake) ;).  Best intro to Blish: _Jack of Eagles_.
