This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Jeff, you could be right.  Perhaps the principle goes so far that there is nothing
accidental in the whole of the story of Severian's life.  But it seems to me there
are unplanned events happening.  For me it seems Wolfe specifically tells us that
Father Inire's transport may often be used without New Sun purpose, examples being:
Severian and Jonas finding and using the mirror room, Severian talking about the many
 trysts etc. through the years in the Secret House and the presence of The Assassin.
