What's So Great About Ushas

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Certainly a possibility. This begs the question though: is there textual
evidence that they have, in fact, had a Word from God?

South America alone has the teeming metropolis of Nessus, smaller cities,
and North America has the hive-like Ascians. I would be surprised if Urth's
population -- this is the "do-nothing" future -- is much less than that of our
Earth today.

But, whether millions or billions, the question of "where to put them" is
no greater here than it is in the Ice Future, where the HYs *do* evacuate
Urth's population. If they can do it there, they can do it here. You played
it for her, Sam, you can play it for me.

I once absend-mindedly ordered Three Mile Island dressing in a
restaurant and, with great presence of mind, they brought Thousand
Island Dressing and a bottle of chili sauce. -- T. Pratchett
