What's So Great About Ushas

Marc Aramini · 12 Jul 2008, 05:29 · from 2008-July.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

Society often works in just such a tiered moral fashion, with the good of the many (ie laws and government) justifying and assigning the taking of life, as any executioner would be able to argue.
?
Of course, I can stomach the idea without too many moral qualms.?

However, granting them exceptions simply because they know more, or are more powerful, is silly.? There are more and less powerful and wise humans too, but suggesting that one can get away with murder (for a good cause, trust me!) isn't something most can stomach.
