Shades of beige

Matthew Keeley · 06 Oct 2008, 16:33 · from 2008-October.txt.gz

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I don't believe the color stuff has been discussed yet.

Re: Batman and Robin - I'm a Batman fan so I'm inclined to see references to
him that might not be there (i.e. there actually is a character named
Manbat). Then again, I wouldn't be terribly shocked if Wolfe read Batman
comics growing up, and perhaps he even reads a few now, especially as his
friend Neil Gaiman actually has a Batman story coming out in a few months.
