stories in Best of Gene Wolfe

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I have read all these stories and own all the collections they are in.  I'm
not sure if Wolfe just didn't have enough uncollected material to do a 'new'
collection, or if this was the publisher's idea (most likely).  I suppose
this will be a good intro for those new to Wolfe, but for those of us who
have all the older collections already, I see little incentive for buying
this.  I wish they had included a couple of stories that are now near
impossible to find for us older fans, but... Oh well.  Can't have everything
you want, huh?
