Cosmological synthesis

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

I found your post in a search on Tracking Song, which I just reread for 
the 10th (or so) time.

I completely agree with your last remark, and I think Tracking Song is a 
perfect example of how Wolfe merges mythological material with his 
Catholicism. This, because the story incorporates Native American modes 
of thinking and speech and concepts of human connections with nature and 
the world, but is no more /about /that than Wizard Knight is about 
Merlin and Arthur.
