Random thoughts on AEG

This is the message as the crawl holds it, before anything here touched it. What the conversation shows has been through ingest: transfer encodings decoded, attachments dropped, quote markers repaired, and the archiver’s ? resolved into quotation marks and dashes. Those repairs are judgements and some of them are wrong, which is what this page is for. Email addresses are obscured here as they are everywhere else on the site, so it is before our repairs rather than byte for byte.

6	King Kong

Sorry, I didn't read the early messages on AEG becuase at the time I still
hadn't got my copy of the book. I'm rereading them now and see that Don
Doggett mentioned King Kong in his very first, non-spoiler, review of AEG:

>>And this is a pulp novel, from the cover to
>>the last page. It riffs on Lovecraft,
>>The Circus of Dr. Lao (absolute required
>>reading before or after reading this book),
>>King Kong, The Shadow, and god knows what
>>else.

Kudos to Don for being their first by a long way!
